GLOFAL MEETINGS

Several meetings on allergy in general and food allergy in particular have been organised, partly sponsored by the European funded project (GLOFAL). International speakers covered clinical, physiological, immunological and epidemiological aspects of allergy.

• From 23 - 25 June 2008 a GLOFAL workshop in Gabon has been organised.

• From 27 - 30 March 2007 a GLOFAL workshop in Ghana has been organised.

• From 9-11 October 2006 a GLOFAL workshop in Madrid, Spain has been organised.

• First GLOFAL meeting in Indonesia
  From Monday 13th of Feb through to Wednesday 15th of Feb 2006, a workshop has been organised. In the morning lectures have been given by experts from Europe, Indonesia, Ghana and Gabon and these lectures were open to professionals interested in allergy in general and food allergy in particular. In the afternoon there were demonstrations and group discussions to prepare protocols, databases and questionnaires for field studies to be carried out in Indonesia, Ghana and Gabon. (The afternoons have been visited by GLOFAL members only, see timetable).
